Comments: I just read Laura Brotherson's article, "Preparing Your Children for Intimacy in Marriage--Preparing to Teach" at www.MeridianMagazine.com. The article is a must read for all who have children. The book she has written is a must read for anyone who is planning to be married. To teach our children about sexual matters, she has developed a sensible approach without the embarrassment most parents have on the topic. My own sex education was zero and I am learning about sex fulfillment at the ripe age of 79.

Comments: Just a quick note to let you know that I got the book at the BYU Bookstore and am reading it out loud together with my wife each night at 9:30 before we retire to bed. Although neither my wife nor I have the 'good-girl syndrome,' your book helped us cross the bridge about being able to talk with each other about our needs. We've tried other books, but none have helped the way your book has. You're writing is a Godsend. As you know--but I am just writing to validate--you were inspired to publish your book.

Comments: Laura - thanks so much for a copy of your new book. It looks like a nice contribution to the field and goes beyond our book in ways that should be helpful to many Latter-day Saints, especially women.

Comments: Hi Jim--Our book is currently at the Deseret Book Corporate offices being reviewed by their buyer, since they generally must preview their books before agreeing to stock them. I can't imagine a reason they would not want to make this valuable resource available in their stores. We are hoping to hear from them soon so that the Deseret Bookstores can begin stocking our book. It may not be a bad idea to let them know you are interested in purchasing this book at their stores so that they are aware of the demand. Soon we will be posting a list here on our website of all bookstores carrying our book--though we certainly welcome online orders! :)

Comments: Fantastic Book Laura: Perhaps now, many of LDS people will not any more be majorly damaged by the flood of negative sexual attitudes found in the subculture of the church, and will be able to submit themselves to the Lord's Perspective on Sexuality as He is the Light and Life of the World and knows all about the Light and Truth of Sexuality.

Comments: I'm engaged. And in the slew of information available on this subject, I have acquired hundreds of questions specific to the gospel and what is deemed "good." I can't explain how relieved I feel to have access to an LDS woman's perspective! I very much look forward to purchasing your book.

Comments: Laura, I attempted to e-mail this last week and have yet to get a repyl. Maybe you didn't get it. Tony Faber Dear Laura, I have read some of the preliminaries on your book and I do have one question. I looked through the chapter headings and found no mention of "birth control". By this I mean birth control pills, condoms, diaphragms, spermacides, norplant, vasectomies, and tubal ligations. Do you mention this in your book? I am interested to know what your thoughts are on this most sensitive subject which is probably talked about even less in the Church than the main emphasis of your book. Thanks in advance for your reply. Tony Faber acfaber@hotmail.com

Comments: You know, you truly are inspired, Laura. You used a principle from the Relief Society Proclamation to base your work on ("We dedicate ourselves to strengthening marriages, families and homes"). And you are and were not afraid to approach a very important yet sensitive topic: intimate marital relations or sex. You are completely right that the "world" gets most of the air time in promoting a distorted view of this most precious gift. Thank goodness that your book is evening out the balance in some way. Congratulations on your book! What an awesome accomplishment to have been inspired to research and write your book and persevere in finding a publisher and all. I am so proud of you! Thank you for your friendship and great example! Your friend and sister in the Gospel.
